Kamen Rider Garren

is the first rider to appear in the Kamen Rider Blade series.  was the second wearer chosen by the B.O.A.R.D. organization to use the Rider System which transforms him into Kamen Rider Garren. The first was his sempai, Kiryu. Sakuya is played by .

Transforming

For Sakuya to change into Garren, he has to insert the sealed Ace of Diamonds (Category Ace: Change Stag) card and position his buckle in front of his waist. The belt would then expand automatically around his waist, like a deck of cards wrapping around. Sakuya makes an arm motion, clinches his fist and yells out and flips a portion of his buckle. The buckle would announce “Turn Up!” at this point. This would also cause a blue projection with a stag beetle image to come out before him,knocking undeads away(if there are any). All he has to do now, is to run into the projection, which will complete the transformation into Garren.

  • Ace form

    • The ace form is Garren’s first form. It is achieved by using the Ace of Diamonds (Category Ace: Change Stag) on his belt buckle.

    • The Jack form is Garren’s second form. It is achieved by inserting the Queen of Diamonds (Category Queen: Absorb Serpent) card and the Jack of Diamonds (Category Jack: Fusion Peacock) card into Garren’s Rouze Absorber. In this form, Garren is able to fly.

    • GARREN BUCKLE

      • The Garren Buckle is the buckle initially used to transform Sakuya into Garren.
    • GARREN ROUZER (5500AP)
      • The Garren Rouzer is used as a gun weapon and to store sealed Rouze Cards (sealed Undead). It also stores Proper Blanks. It can also rouse cards to activate attacks and/or abilities.
    • ROUZE ABSORBER
      • Worn on the left arm, the Rouze Absorber stores the Jack of Diamonds (Category Jack: Fusion Peacock), Queen of Diamonds (Category Queen: Absorb Serpent), and King of Diamonds (Category King: Evolution Girafa) cards. The cards can be rouzed to transform Garren into Jack form.

    • GARREN ROUZER (7900AP)

      • A blade forms on the barrel of the Garren Rouzer for close-range attacks.
    • GARREN ABSORBER
      • The Garren Absorber is the enhanced version of the Rouze Absorber. A panel with the peacock/diamond design now appears on top of it.

    • This card increases how many bullets the Rouser will shoot.
    • When rouzed, the rouzer announces “Rapid”.

    • This card increases the power of a heel drop kick.
    • When rouzed, the rouzer announces “Drop”.
    • Uses 1000 AP.
  • Category 6 of Diamonds: “Fire Fly”
    • This card adds the Fire element to an attack.
    • When rouzed, the rouzer announces “Fire”.
    • Uses 1000 AP.
  • Category 7 of Diamonds: “Rock Tortoise”
    • This card’s ability was not shown in the series; but according to magazine descriptions, it hardens Garren’s body to a rock, protecting against any attack.
    • When rouzed, the rouzer announces “Rock”.
    • Uses 1400 AP.
  • Category 8 of Diamonds: “Scope Bat”
    • This card’s ability was not shown in the series; but according to magazine descriptions, it gives the Rouser zoom in abilities for more accurate shots.
    • When rouzed, the rouzer announces “Scope”.
    • Uses 1200 AP
  • Category 9 of Diamonds: “Gemini Zebra”
    • This gives Garren a doppelganger like clone that can fight with him or act as a distraction.
    • When rouzed, the rouzer announces “Gemini”.
    • Uses 1400 AP
  • Category 10 of Diamonds: “Thief Chameleon”
    • This card is able to make the one who rouse the card able to change into other’s appearance.
    • When rouzed, the rouzer announces “Thief”.
    • Uses 1600 AP
  • Category Jack of Diamonds: “Fusion Peacock” (Isaka)
  • This card can recharge the Rouzer with AP, and can be used (along with the Category Queen of Diamonds) to transform Garren into the Jack form.
    • When rouzed, the absorber announces “Fusion Jack”.
    • Adds an additional 2400 AP.
  • Category Queen of Diamonds: “Absorb Serpent” (Izumi)
    • This card can recharge the Rouzer with AP, and can be used to transform Garren into the Jack form (along with the Category Jack of Spades).
    • When rouzed, the absorber announces “Absorb Queen”
    • Adds an additional 2000 AP.
  • Category King of Diamonds: “Evolution Giraffa” (Kanei)
    • This card can recharge the Rouzer with AP, and can be used (along with the Category Queen of Diamonds) to transform Garren into the King form, but it hasn’t been used in the TV series or movie.
    • When rouzed, the absorber announces “Evolution King”.
    • Adds an additional 4000 AP.

    • BURNING SMASH(Garren runs and jumps up,doing a heavy rider kick with fire form on his leg)

      • Drop Whale + Firefly
      • Uses 2000AP.
    • BURNING DIVIDE(Garren splits in two,then Garren,and his “clone” do BURNING SMASH,which is twice the damage)
      • Drop Whale + Firefly + Gemini Zebra
      • Uses 3400AP.
    • BURNING SHOT(Garren shoots bullets of flame(s) rapidly at the undead)
      • Bullet Armadillo + Rapid Pecker + Firefly
      • Uses 2200AP.

Jack Form

    • JACK BURNING SHOT(Similar to Blade’s flight, then shoots bullets of flame(s) rapidly at the undead, but more stronger)

      • Bullet Armadillo + Rapid Pecker + Firefly
      • Uses 2200AP.


Other combinations

    • Fire/Upper Combo - When Fire Fly and Upper Frog are roused together, it result in Garren initiating a flaming uppercut at his enemy.
    • Bullet/Fire Combo - While not as strong a Burning Shot, the combo still fire strong, single fireball like shots at its target.


Red Rambass

The Red Rambass (possibly “rhombus” since a rhombus is in the shape of a diamond) is a motorbike developed by B.O.A.R.D. that is specially designed for Garren. For some reason, Rambass is spelled Lampass in some merchandising.

Notes

The name “Garren” is the Japanese pronunciation of “Galleon” (or Coin), which is the Minor Arcana version of the Diamond cards:The Suit of Coins
