Stevens gained fame as a member of the pop group S Club 7 (see S Club discography). The group had its last release in 2003, and Stevens released her debut solo album Funky Dory that September. The album produced three top five singles in the United Kingdom and was certified gold in October 2003.Gold certification for Funky Dory. British Phonographic Industry. October 10, 2003.
